Julie Anderson is the owner and director of Colorado Dance Arts in Lakewood, Colorado—an inclusive and welcoming community offering a concept-based approach to classical dance training. For over twenty five years, she has shared her love of dance with students of all ages.
A certified instructor of the Bill Evans Method of Teaching Modern Dance, Julie holds a Bachelor of Science in Dance Education from the University of Idaho and has completed specialized training in Brain-Compatible Dance Education and BrainDance. She also teaches for Colorado Ballet’s Education and Community Engagement program and leads Be Beautiful, Be Yourself, a ballet series for children with Down syndrome.
This past year, Julie was thrilled to design a new, inviting, and intentionally crafted home for Colorado Dance Arts. She looks forward to filling it with inspiring classes, meaningful events, and a vibrant community where dancers can grow, connect, and create.

Alison, a native of Illinois, moved to northern Colorado in 2013. She began her dance training at Dance Arts Studio, Inc. in Springfield, Illinois under the direction of Grace Luttrell Nanavati. In 2004 she joined the Springfield Ballet Company, performing in various main stage productions and training with professionals from the Carolina Ballet Theatre, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and Broadway Theatre Project, among others.
Alison graduated with a BFA in Dance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in May 2013. During her time at Dance at Illinois, Alison had the privilege of training under numerous renowned faculty and guest artists. She also took the time to experience dance outreach in the community, to engage in student groups focused on supporting the arts on campus, and to familiarize herself with the administrative aspects of the Dance Department. Alison was also selected to participate in the Mark Morris Dance Group Shadow Program in 2011. She attended the Brooklyn summer intensive fully funded in 2011 and 2012, as well as participated in the company’s university residency outreach projects.
Alison joined Colorado Dance Arts in 2015 and directs the ballet program and Nutcracker productions.

Aria Faddis grew up in Boise, Idaho, and moved to Colorado in 2017. She began dancing at age twelve and has since discovered how much she loves to share her love of dance with children. Aria has a BFA in Dance with an emphasis in teaching from The University of Montana where she studied under Michelle Antonioli, Nicole Bradley Browning, and Heidi Jones Eggert. She spent one season dancing with Off Center Dance Company before relocating to Colorado and joined the Colorado Dance Arts team in 2020. When she is not working at the studio, Aria is the Development Manager for the nonprofit Reach Out and Read Colorado.

Noelle is a Colorado native, and began dancing at the age of 3. During her time as a student, she trained under multiple seasoned professionals in ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, modern, tap and musical theater. She began competing at age 12, attending Regional and National competitions across Colorado and the United States. During her time as a competitive dancer, she had the opportunity to take convention classes from international dance professionals, and succeed as a competitive dancer alongside her peers. She also had opportunities to perform in various ballet roles including the Dew Drop Fairy, Snow, Sugar Plum Fairy and other parts in her studio's performances of the Nutcracker.
As a dance educator, she began assistant teaching at age 13, and began taking over her own classes at age 16 until she graduated high school. Noelle graduated from her dance studio at 18, and took dance courses in college. Noelle has taught multiple styles based on her upbringing, in various studios across Colorado. She has led competitive teams at various competitions to receive high adjudication for all choreography, as well as National qualifications. She has also received multiple special awards for choreography and costuming. Along with teaching, Noelle dances professionally with Messengerz Dance Company based in Colorado, performing and teaching across the nation.
Outside of dance, she is married to a wonderful man named Michael, and has a daughter and 2 sons. As a family they love to be outside, play games, and explore together! Noelle also enjoys baking, cooking and reading. Noelle loves teaching dance, leading dancers to their highest potential, and growing them to be beautiful, talented and well rounded artists.

Charlise has studied ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and contemporary dance at Lakewood Dance Academy for the past 7 years. She has worked as an assistant teacher for over two years and taught for several seasons of summer dance camps. Charlise is senior member of the CDA Ensemble, and part of our administrative team. She's currently a Senior at Green Mountain HS.

Katherine hails from Louisiana where she began her dance training in ballet, tap, and jazz at the age of three. Katherine holds a Bachelor of Science in dance management with a minor in history from Oklahoma City University. While in Oklahoma, she danced multiple seasons with the American Spirit Dance Company. She also holds a Master of Arts in cultural policy and arts management from University College Dublin in Ireland. Her time abroad strengthened her understanding of the global arts community and she incorporates this knowledge into her practice at Colorado Ballet. While writing her thesis, Dance & Disability: an art form about the body for every body, she conducted extensive research about the facilitation of dance programming for diverse populations.
Working with various dance-centric organizations such as Colorado Ballet, American Dance Festival, and Irish Modern Dance Theatre has enhanced her understanding of the impact cultural organizations make in their communities. She proudly served as the production director for the 2021 Dancer from the Dance Festival of Irish Choreography.
At Colorado Ballet, Katherine finds herself at the intersection of dance education and arts management and she is excited to be part of a team that is bringing dance to the communities of Colorado.

Jamie Carr is a performer, choreographer, teacher, and action photographer. With a strong background in classical ballet, Jamie graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Dance from California State University Long Beach, an Associate’s Degree in Photography, and is a nationally certified teacher from the American Ballet Theatre.
Jamie has been selected to train and perform nationally and internationally with several high-profile artists. Jamie has performed with and managed several contemporary companies and is currently a dancer with the T2 Dance Company. Additionally, she is a ballet and jazz teacher and Senior Ensemble advisor at Colorado Dance Arts.

Lisi brings 30+ years of dance experience to Colorado Dance Arts. She began dancing at age 4 with the Colorado Concert Ballet, now Colorado Ballet. She has performed lead roles in both classical and contemporary ballet with Colorado Ballet, Boulder Ballet, Ballet Arts in Tucson, Ballet Arts in Denver. Lisi performed with the Colorado Opera for five years. She co-directed and performed with DICP(Denver Independant Chorographers Project). She was a dance instructor at the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities for 34 years. Lisi received her BA in Psychology and Dance from the University of Arizona, Tucson and her MA in Psychology from Lesley College, Boston. She works full time as a private practice mental health clinician helping children and familes improve their mental health.

Lauren Grant grew up in Lakewood and danced for 20 years, training in several forms of concert dance. She worked in special education for 10 years until having children of her own who now dance at CDA. Lauren specializes in working with children with many different abilities, and believes dance is for everyone. Her hope is that parents who may not have considered a dance class for their child feel welcomed and supported in CDA's Adaptive Dance Program.
Helping manage the day-to-day happenings of CDA is one of Lauren's greatest blessings! She absolutely loves sharing the joy of dance with the families who come to CDA and working alongside some of the most incredible people.

A midwest girl at heart (born and raised in the Nebraska and Kansas plains), Alzbeta moved to Colorado in 2009 to marry her husband, Daniel, and went on to have five children, all of whom dance at CDA. She holds degrees in Art and Mass Communications, enjoying all sides of photography, and how images connect us.

Anna Cloward began her dance training at age five with Imagine Ballet Theatre, under the instruction of Raymond Van Mason. Over the years, she developed a deep love for classical ballet. She has enjoyed sharing that love of ballet through stage performances, ballet outreach programs through the Ogden, Utah public library system, and dancing with special needs dancers from the PALS program (Performing Artists Lengthening Strides). Anna recently moved to Denver to begin training with the Pre Professional Division of Colorado Ballet Academy in the hopes of becoming a professional dancer. She is excited about her new role as a Colorado Dance Arts administrative team member.

Claudia began her dance training at Colorado Dance Arts in 2015 and has been dancing ever since. She has studied ballet, contemporary, jazz, modern, and tap at several studios, including Colorado Dance Arts, Colorado Ballet Academy, and Denver Dance Center. In 2021, she attended the Intermediate Summer Dance Intensive at the Colorado Conservatory of Dance, and in 2022, she attended the Summer Dance Intensive at Colorado Ballet Academy. This is her first year working at Colorado Dance Arts, and she is thrilled to keep learning and growing with the studio! Claudia is currently a junior at D’Evelyn Jr./Sr. High School.
