TICKETS
Tickets go on sale Monday, May 12th online at coloradodancearts.com. Tickets are $21/Adult and $16/Student (ages 3-17) or Livestream option.
The week of May 26 - 31 there are NO REGULAR CLASSES at the studio. All students have a rehearsal at the performance venue, D'Evelyn Jr/Sr High School on May 27th or 30th. Posted below is the schedule for our last week of the academic year.
Monday, May 26 (Memorial Day) - No Classes or Rehearsals (we do have classes Saturday, May 24th)
Tuesday, May 27th - Rehearsal for ALL classes that perform in one show 3:30-8
Thursday, May 29th - Rehearsal for ALL classes performing in both shows 5-8PM
Friday, May 30st - Rehearsal for ALL classes performing in both shows 4-8:30PM
Saturday, May 31 - Performances at D'Evelyn 2:00-3:30PM and 6:00-7:30PM
ARRIVAL TIMES
Students performing in one show arrive 15-30 minutes before showtime. They have hair, makeup (if desired) and costume on. They may bring a water bottle and non-messy, non-allergen snack backstage.
Students performing in both shows have two call times: 12:00PM for the 1st show and 5:00PM for the 2nd show. Students arrive with hair and makeup and wearing warm up dance clothing. Students may leave with their families between perfromances. They may choose to stay backstage between shows, but no one is allowed backstage to meet with them. Any food deliveries go to the Security Officers check-in station.
HAIR, MAKEUP, TIGHTS, SHOES
Boys/Men: Neat hair, off the face if long. For ballet, tights and shoes are black.
Girls/Women: Ballet students wear a neat mid-level bun. All other classes wear hair off the face in the style of your choice. Please use lots of spray and gel!
Makeup is optional for students. If you choose to wear makeup, please use nuetral colors; browns, blacks, and pink or orange undertones for cheeks and lips.
We have 'ballet pink' tights for sale for $10. Girls/Women in ballet must have tights and shoes that match.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Alzbeta Volk Photography is photographing the performances and capturing all the amazing moments onstage! Photos are available for purchase 4-6 weeks after the show.
Authentic Creatives is taking class photos backstage during the shows. It worked great last year and we loved the photos! A google form will be sent to families to purchase a class photo.
VIDEOGRAPHY
Videography is provided by Authentic:Creatives and all students and families receive a link to the performances.
SECURITY
Colorado Dance Arts works with a fantastic team of security professionals from True Security for our Tuesday evening rehearsal and the performances on Saturday. Students will have a chance to meet and greet with security detail on Tuesday and practice the check-in process to go backstage. Access to backstage and dressing room areas is for CDA students, staff, and approved volunteers. If anyone needs access for a medical reason, please contact info@coloradodancearts.com no later than May 25. You will need pre-approval and a pass to go backstage. If your family has an emergency during a performance, please check in with the security personal and be prepared to show your identification. We are keeping our staff and our students safe through this process, and we appreciate your cooperation and support!
VOLUNTEERS
We are in need of 3-5 volunteers for each performance. If you are interested in volunteering backstage, please email Julie at info@coloradodancearts.com with your availability. Thank you! We appreciate everything you do to support concept-based dance education. We love our students and cannot wait to see them perform!
FLOWERS
Flowers will be available for Pre-Sale next week and a signup will be sent to families.!
CONCESSIONS
Kona Ice will be in the parking lot after each show! A percentage of shaved ice sold benefits CDA.
